I am a university student traveling throughout Central and South America to exploring how The Vagina Monologues has been translated and interpreted in different Latin American countries, and whether or not the themes morph to be culturally relevant. By focusing on the power of language, I will investigate how a play formulated by Western feminists has crossed into the global community to become a powerful piece of theater for women from different cultures.

My goal here is to keep family, friends, classmates, professors, and those interested informed about my journey — the people I meet, the places I go, the discoveries I make.
