Last week, Paul Ryan gave an interview in which, defending his position that there should be no excuses for abortion, he referred to rape as a “method of conception.”

Well, we can only assume he does. Akin recently stated that he has spoken to doctors who have told him that, in cases of “legitimate rape,” the female body has biological defenses to prevent pregnancy.
It is possible that he has somehow confused human vaginas with duck vaginas, which have evolved natural defenses against rape-happy male ducks.
I now ask you, ladies and gentlemen, how does one confuse a human vagina with a duck vagina? Hmm?
The answer is clear: Todd Akin fucks ducks. He is a duckfucker.
Maybe this isn’t true, but since Akin feels no need to check his facts re: human biology or his fucked-up use of the term “legitimate rape,” I’m not feeling too keen on checking mine re: his duckfucking or lack there-of.
So, it’s pretty simple. Don’t vote for this duckfucker right here.

The House speaker, Val Rausch, said that the legislation had been shelved, pending a decision on whether to allow a vote, amend the language or drop it entirely. A spokesman for Gov. Dennis Daugaard said, “Clearly the bill as it’s currently written is a very bad idea.”

Our legislative slogan for 2011: Let Them Use Leeches.
“What is more fiscally responsible than denying any and all funding to Planned Parenthood of America?” demanded Representative Mike Pence of Indiana, the chief sponsor of a bill to bar the government from directing any money to any organization that provides abortion services.

This could affect women who have had miscarriages, because often the treatment post-miscarriage is the same procedure as an abortion, and who could be in danger of serious infections or other complications without the intervention. It could affect women who fully intended to carry their pregnancies to term, but who had life-threatening complications. They could be refused a life-saving procedure. In some jurisdictions, that would probably be considered negligent homicide. But since a pregnant woman somehow magically loses her personhood and becomes nothing more than the vessel holding the sacred fetus in the minds of these “pro-life” monsters, they don’t see it that way.
JESUS SHITTING CHRIST, DON’T THESE PEOPLE HAVE AN ECONOMY TO FIX? UNEMPLOYMENT RATES TO REDUCE? WARS TO LIE TO US ABOUT? ISN’T EGYPT CURRENTLY FUCKED UP?
SO WHAT IS UP WITH ALL THIS “PUNISHING PEOPLE WITH A UTERUS” SHIT? Is this REALLY where Congress believes they are most needed right now?!
And for the people who voted for these assholes: are you getting your money’s worth? Are they really “restoring” America? Or are they wasting their fucking time worrying about abortion issues when they could be doing what they fucking promised you they’d do?

If you haven’t already, please go add your signature to this. We cannot allow the US government to further hurt and shame rape victims out of some sense of faux-concern. Allowing them to redefine rape in this way would open up a horrific opportunity for rape to be redefined in other ways or areas.
This is an attack on those who have already been hurt enough. We cannot let it pass. We cannot be silent.

The GOP’s current top priority? Making sure rape victims can’t use federal funds for abortions unless the GOP considers it REAL rape, by which they mean “forcible rape.” This would eliminate the ability for victims of incest, statutory and most date rapes to use Medicaid or government medical savings plans for abortions.
Whether or not this bill passes, and hopefully it won’t, the fact that redefining rape is being discussed, seriously, not just by Congress but by THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE, John Boehner, is disgusting. Even more horrifying: the members of Congress elected for a “more accountable government,” who trash-talked President Obama over his economic policies and unemployment rates, have made this their top priority.
Not fixing the economy. Not creating more jobs. Redefining rape and attacking rape victims.
Go read the article on Tiger Beatdown to see how you can join the virtual revolution and speak out against this horrible policy. Because even if it’s not likely to pass, it’s completely telling of what the immediate future holds for our nation.
