The Riot is 5,000 Strong

On May 1st, 2009, as a reaction to a string of frustrating events, I started The Riot.  Back then, I hoped it would, if nothing else, give me a place to air my frustrations.

A little over three years later, The Riot has officially hit 5,000 followers on Tumblr.  5,000 people who have actively said “Yes, I want to see what you have to say.”  That doesn’t even include the people who may not be Tumblr users but could possibly be regular readers.

To all of you: thank you.  Not for following a blog, but for proving to me that there are at least 5,000 people out there who are also looking for a Riot.
